Overview
We have added the following features to Engineerʼs Studio® Ver.12.
• Verification using pushover analysis and Ultimate Lateral Load Capacity Method
• Verification using the Specifications for Highway Bridges 2025
• F8-AI UC Support function
Verification Using Pushover Analysis and Ultimate Lateral Load Capacity Method
In the pushover analysis, the program automatically determines internally the load range at which events such as cracking, initial yielding, ultimate failure, and shear capacity occur for each member. It then performs a failure assessment for bending failure type, bending damage transitioning to shear failure type, and shear failure type, and conducts verification (Figure 1-3). The key features are the following three points:
• Automatic loading of a couple that equivalently replaces the moment generated at the beam axis position due to the inertia force of the superstructure with the vertical load at each support position.
• Display of displacement, curvature and rotation angle at the steps in the analysis results where events such as cracking, initial yield and ultimate failure occurred (Fig.2).
• Displays load-displacement curve, event list, and verification result of the Ultimate Lateral Load Capacity Method in the verification result (Fig.3).
