Armed
with the passionate thought of eliminating the dreadful problem of
finding a parking space to reduce traffic congestion for a greener
society, OrganicParking.com developed a smartphone app of the same name
to achieve their mission. FORUM8 was granted the exclusive development
& customization rights within Japan to Organic Parking, which
is
currently undergoing an international patent application. We attempt to
release it for the Japanese market very soon.
Organic
Parking is a mobile social network application that allows the
searching and booking of parking spaces with devices such as
smartphones or tablets. Users provide and share over the internet on
parking spaces, be it public or personal, making the process of finding
parking spaces far less painful while potentially making a
small
fortune.
To
reach more users, the app is designed for both the iOS and Android
operating systems, with the iOS version release planned for late June.
While there has already been numerous parking lot navigation apps
available, so far none of them provide information on whether it will
still be vacant at the time of the user's arrival - mainly due
to
the cost and infeasibility of adding sensors to every parking lot and
reporting on its current condition.
Thus, Organic
Parking is an ingenious product that works around the problem by
having users act as the "sensors" for parking spaces.
The
name "Organic" derives from OrganincParking.com's vision of
creating a greener environment by reducing traffic congestion
to
lower vehicle exhaust gases, and the individual contribution via social
community cooperation.
FORUM8
is planning to have the app not only work for parking spaces, but also
for searching for seating spaces during events such as hanami or
firework festivals. We want to ensure the romantic and exciting
atmosphere never gets destroyed by space issues. |
