Introduction |
In
the conventional VR-Cloud®, browsing 3DVR of UC-win/Road which are
servers and the creation of discussions and notes were possible. In VR-Cloud® Ver.6, in addition to these, it now supports the editing of 3DVR itself. By directly editing 3DVR even if you are not a server administrator, easier and effective consensus building between clients becomes possible. A password set by the server administrator is needed in order to use the editing function, so the server administrator can administrate the users who can edit. Also, improvement of the stability of the entire application and additional extension of SDK following the addition of the editing function has also been done, improving the efficiency of consensus building, and it has become a more manageable content. |
Management of 3D models |
Control of positioned models |
Selecting a 3D model positioned in 3DVR published in a UC-win/Road server
and freely moving it from a client application has become possible. Horizontal
movement, rise and fall, and direction change can be done (figure 3). Also,
deleting the selected model and newly positioning a copy is possible. These
controls are effective not only for models originally positioned, but also for models added by a 3D model list from a client.
With these functions, adjustment of 3DVR from a client application became possible, and consensus building from a client became easier.

Saving of 3D scenes |
A function that saves the editing situation to a server from a client application
after a client user have edited a 3DVR file published in a UC-win/Road
server has been implemented. Controlling is not possible while saving,
but the connection status is held, so the control can be continued as soon as the saving finishes (figure
4). The backup data before editing is saved simultaneously, so recovery
can easily be done by contacting the server administrator even if it has
been saved by mistake.
|
In the end |
Due to the implementation of the function which edits 3DVR data from a
client, VR-Cloud® Ver. 6 has further developed as a consensus building
tool. These functions are also added in SDK, so using commands from the
VR-Cloud® script plug-in is possible. In the future development, development of various new functions are planned, aiming for further development of VR-Cloud®. |
