Introduction |
This service provides a photorealistic image via super computer of FOCUS
(Foundation for Computational Science). Photorealistic image is an image which is a strong resenblance to the realistic photo and can be created by performing a large amount of calculation according to the physical equation in a real life. This can be used for various kind of things such as review, presentation, publication, marketing in the stage of planing and designing the cars and parts as well as the verifing the design of BIM model for architecture and interior coordination. |
About LuxRender |
High-speed rendering via FOCUS |
It needs a lot of time to calculate via LuxRender, so it is possible to
speed up parallel computation by using several PC. In general, the PC cluster for CG rendering is called "Render Farm". Parallel computation of LuxRender standard allows to speed up from about 20 to 30 times as during rendering on a single PC, however, the speed decreases as a little over the number of PC, 50 and cannot ask for more speeding up (in case of a still image). Furthermore, the various kinds of know-how is required for creating those environment. FORUM8 created the speed-up and easy-to-use render farm on super computing which is set in FOCUS. It now allows high-speed rendering which is about 50 times as much as FOCUS 1 node by originally remodeling the highly parallel execution to LuxRender (The speed is according to simultaneously parallel number.). By this high-speed rendering, the time which usually takes about 1 week can be reduced to about 2 hours for the actual rendering time.

Future development |
From current situation, it is possible to speed up by increasing the number
of computers, so we will consider this in an environment in which the highly
concurrent is possible of K etc. from now on. Reference service price (tax is not included.)
Reference example) Price for 5 rendering (tax is not included) : 3x10,000+2x7,500+50,000=95,000 yen Price for 100 redering (tax is not included) : 3x10,000+17x7,500+30x5,000+50x2,500+50,000=48,2500 yen |
