Shade3D is equipped with features consisting of high-precision modeling, rendering, and animation. In addition, it includes multi-functional layout workspace, camera, and light source all required for high-precision architectural perspectives, modeling, interior design, product and product design. It can also be used as a modeling tool for UC-win/Road.

"Road alignment" to create more realistic road surface

The new "Road Alignment" is a line shape that can be created from the same interface as previous alignment creation and is based on the clothoid curves used for road and railway tracks. It allows users to create more realistic road surfaces, such as "a road where drivers do not require swerve" or "a rail line that does not have sudden centrifugal forces on curves", etc.

● Create a straight line with 2 vertices and curve with 3 or more vertices

Creating two vertices in a drawing creates a straight line connecting the two points, and three or more vertices creates a curve.

● Parameters control the radius of a curve

The radius of the curve created can be controlled by changing values such as the radius of curvature of the arc and the distance of the arc for the selected point in the tool parameters.
- "Circle Radius" Left: 200, Right: 500

● Create shapes by entering values

In addition to the radius, the coordinate position of a point, the length between two points, and the angle can also be controlled by tool parameters during creation. You can also create shapes by adding points and entering coordinate values without clicking on the drawing.

● Create road surface in combination with "swept surface"

The "road alignment" geometry is compatible with the "swept surfaces" described in the next section. By creating a line with road alignment, and then adding a road cross section along the line, a road surface can be easily created.

"Swept surface" created with 2 geometries

Combine a line that serves as a cross-section and a line that serves as a reference line along which it is aligned to create a surface.
Changes to the line are immediately reflected in the geometry, allowing efficient creation and editing of road surfaces, rebar, pipes, rails, and more.
In addition to linear shapes, circles and road alignment can be used for line shapes, and shapes can be swapped and post-edited.

● Create shapes by placing 2 geometries in the "swept surface" part

Create a surface by placing 2 compatible shapes in the "swept surface" in the browser.
- Before placing in the "swept surface" part

- After placing in the "swept surface" part

● Adjust orthogonality, centering, and edge treatment

The "Info" tab of the integration palette allows you to make adjustments such as making the cross section orthogonal to the reference line, aligning it to the center position, or closing the end faces.

Manage data as catalog with "ShadeExplorer"

Shade3D scene data, materials, backgrounds, sounds, and images can be managed in a "catalog" by project, date, use, or material.

● Create a catalog from PC folder

You can make a catalog from a specified PC folder, including data in subfolders. You can also add the scene data you are creating to an existing catalog.

● ShadeExplorer as a file viewer

Switching to "Explorer" allows you to view and use Shade3D scene data with rendered images, materials, and image files saved on your computer while previewing them.

● Preset catalog

Shade3D includes a catalog of presets that can be added via the Shade3D Content and Shade3D HDRI Backgrounds installer. Shade3D scene data, documentation samples, Shade3D materials, and PBR materials (Professional edition only) and more are included.
