FORUM8 releases Engineer's Studio® Ver.11, the flagship of FEM analysis software. Supports plate element remeshing.

On August 1st, 2023, FORUM8 Co., Ltd. (2-15-1 Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo. President Yuji Ito. URL: https://www.forum8.co.jp/english/) has released the Engineer's Studio® Ver.11, the newest version of 3D plate and cable dynamic nonlinear analysis software.

Engineer's Studio® is the flagship product of our FEM analysis series, supporting the Maekawa Model, the world's best concrete analysis theory, and has been developed in-house for everything from pre-processing to the calculation engine and post-processing. It supports beams, plates and springs as analysis elements and supports a wide range of structural analyses, including structures with walls, such as backchecking of existing design structures, Mindlin plates and large deformation analysis.

Ver.11 supports the remeshing of plate elements, which significantly improves the productivity of mesh division of plate elements when creating and editing analysis models. It is now possible to edit and remesh CAD data such as lines and faces of plate elements as many times as required until the desired mesh element is achieved.

In addition, eigenvalue analysis and viscous damping have been rationalized, and the number of eigenvalue analysis runs has been massively reduced, resulting in a reduction in the calculation time and the number of reports printed.

Based on this release, we will continue to develop new, easier and more convenient functions in the creation of analysis models, as well as features to improve the efficiency of analysis work.
