FORUM8 serves as a platinum sponsor at "Drone Programming Contest"
Provides VR software and UAV plug-in and seminars |
FORUM8 Co., Ltd. (2-15-1 Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo. President Yuji Ito. URL: http://www.forum8.co.jp/english/) will serve as a platinum sponsor at Drone Programming Contest (hosted
by Computer Software Association of Japan) to be held on March 31, 2018
in Japan.
The drone related industry is called "the industrial revolution in
the sky", and its development is heating up all over the world. The
theme of this competition is the development of control application that
is essential for the future growth in the drone field. The cultivation
of sophisticated programmers of drone and the contribution to the market
expansion is the goals of this competition. This is the first contest in
Japan that is specialized in the software programming of drone.
Forum8 is serving as a platinum sponsor for this competition. We provide
the 3D real-time VR software "UC-win/Road", UC-win/Road SDK (Software
Development Kit), and the "UAV plug-in" that can be linked with
Road to the participants for free during the contest period. In addition,
we hold free "UAV plug-in & VR experience seminars" and teach
the drone flight plan setting with UC-win/Road, flight with actual drone,
and input and utilization of acquired data in order to develop drone programmers
and engineers.

UC-win/Road Ver.13 (Released in February 2018)
The linkage between UC-win/Road and UAV enables the creation of UAV flight
route and flight plan on VR environment by using GPS and the configuration
such as photo shooting and video recording. Since the UC-win/Road now supports
64 bit native, 200 million to 300 million point clouds can be treated now,
which was up to 60 million with the previous 32 bit version. The range
of utilization of data acquired by UAV has also been expanded.
