FORUM8 International Seminar 2026

Hanoi Seminar: AI and traffic simulations are being used to reduce traffic congestion and air pollution.

April 8, 2026 @ University of Transport and Communications (UTC) Conference Hall - Building A8, 4F

We had many attendees, including those involved in the infrastructure, transport, and construction industries.

The special lecture by Dr. Le Thu Huyen and Dr. Bui Cong Do from UTC covered the applications of AI and machine learning to BIM, urban issues in Hanoi such as traffic congestion and air pollution, and the development of smart traffic systems and simulation-based solutions, drawing great interest from the attendees.

FORUM8 gave presentations on digital twins, AI applications, and risk analysis, featuring MCP case studies and introduction examples both in Japan and overseas.

Shanghai Seminar: UC-win/Road contributes to R&D of autonomous driving. Integration with HintCAD was also introduced.

April 14, 2026 @ InterContinental Shanghai NECC

The Shanghai seminar was held on April 14, 2026, and we welcomed many attendees from Shanghai and various other regions.

The special lecture was delivered by Prof. Jiao Pengpeng from Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. The presentation demonstrated methods using Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) to address issues such as communication delays and safety testing, while improving traffic flow efficiency and vibration control, which drew many questions from the audience.

Many existing UC-win/Road users attended the seminar, where we presented our development plans for AI features, OpenDRIVE support, and integration with Chinese road design CAD HintCAD, while also hearing their expectations for future updates.

Seoul Seminar: In addition to traffic safety measures, the use of digital twins is also envisioned for disaster prevention.

May 22, 2026 @ Seoul Square, Beijing Room

The seminar was held on May 22 at Seoul Square, drawing many attendees, primarily existing users of FORUM8 KOREA.

In the special lecture, Prof. Yang Dong-won from Seoul St. Mary's Hospital presented his research on assessing drivers with dementia, and the assessment and training system DAVAS, utilizing UC-win/Road, attracted significant attention as a traffic safety measure for an aging society.

In addition to the latest technologies and use cases, we introduced disaster prevention solutions such as flooding and inundation analysis. The networking party also provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships with our key users.

In 2027, FORUM8 KOREA will celebrate its 15th anniversary. We will further strengthen the partnership between Japan and Korea to accelerate our business expansion in the Korean market.
