Japan-Made XR-AI Software with Advanced Development & Technology Services
SIGGRAPH ASIA 2025
Date: December 16-18, 2025
Venue: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC)

SIGGRAPH ASIA 2025 was held from December 16 to 18 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). This event consists of an international conference and exhibition that showcase the forefront of computer graphics (CG) and interactive technologies. SIGGRAPH, which began in the United States in 1974, is known as one of the world’s largest international conferences on CG and interactive technologies. SIGGRAPH Asia was launched in 2008 as the Asian edition of this event.
FORUM8 has supported SIGGRAPH Asia for many years, and this was its eighth time joining as a Platinum Sponsor. We showcased products and services built with Japan-developed XR and AI technologies.
Our exhibition theme was "Japan-Made XR-AI Software with Advanced Development & Technology Services". Through various solutions including VR, digital twins, and metaverse technologies, we showcased Japan's technological and development capabilities. Visitors paid close attention to our wide range of activities that combine XR and AI technologies, such as Shade3D—an integrated 3D content production software with high-quality 3D rendering—our AI illustration generation tool FOXAI (F8-AI MANGA®), the NFT-based digital asset management service Majimon (F8NFTS), and the metaverse platform Metavania (F8VPS).

We also showcased content featured at the “Robot Experience” booth at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. Using cutting‑edge 3D CG and VR technologies, we built high‑precision digital twin environments. As experience simulations reproducing one‑sixth lunar gravity, we showcased VR simulators for backhoe remote operation and lunar surface driving. Integrated with VR motion seats, the simulators allowed visitors to experience space-construction operations with realistic behaviors that accurately reflect low‑gravity environments.

We also demonstrated UC-win/Road Ver.18, highlighting its improved material expression enabled by Physical Based Rendering (PBR). In addition, we showcased an efficient content‑creation workflow made possible through native file integration with the product.

Many visitors tried FOXAI (F8-AI MANGA®), our AI image-generation tool, and showed strong interest in its wide range of applications, from design to medical and entertainment fields. By operating the generation process themselves, they were able to experience the practical potential of AI technologies firsthand.

During the conference, participants exchanged various views on the use of the metaverse and the development of digital twins. They also shared practical ideas for real-world applications, including in-house presentations, online exhibitions, urban digital twins, VR educational materials for academic institutions, VR exhibits for events, and new expressive methods that combine AI and 3D technologies. The showcase integrating VR and haptic devices—offering sensations such as temperature changes and button feedback—was also well received.
Nearby booths featured notable exhibits such as AI‑driven CG production workflows, as well as motion capture systems.

On December 17, we held "FORUM8 presents Japan Night with SIGGRAPH Asia 2025 in Hong Kong". As a champion sponsor, we took part in the event where creators, students, and researchers from around the world gathered to share their research and its applications. We also presented our products and actively exchanged ideas on CG and interactive technologies. The event served as a valuable opportunity to build networks across disciplines and borders.

Through SIGGRAPH ASIA 2025, we showcased our initiatives that combine XR, digital twins, the metaverse, and AI technologies, highlighting their potential applications across a wide range of fields. Through our hands‑on exhibits and interactive events, visitors were able to envision practical use cases.
