It had been 22 years that this forum was held in Japan since it had been held in Tokyo in 1996. This was the 2nd time in Japan. A lot of people came from Asian and Oceanian countries such as China, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, and Australia. At FORUM8 booth, we displayed VR system such as a 3-monitor drive simulator, Air Driving by infrared sensor, MindWave simulator tracking brain wave. In two and half days, 251 people visited our booth and experienced these products. We also had a VR-Design Studio UC-win/Road experience corner in the booth. Visitors experienced the traffic flow generation and drive simulation, creating scenario data of ACC safety driving function, and generating roads and intersections on 3D GIS map installed in the software. Vehicle-related companies, universities, and design consultants came to the event. We received a lot of inquiries about simulation VR data creation and VR usage for the verification of vehicle functions. We will continue to develop new functions and plugins of VR-Design Studio UC-win/Road.
