Exhibits under the theme "Sustainability realized via Cloud".

CES 2023
Date: January 5-8, 2023 Venue: Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC)

FORUM8 exhibited at CES2023 (Las Vegas, USA), the world's largest electronics technology trade fair, following in 2019 and 2020. A lot of automotive companies exhibited at the venue, which was expanded with the West Hall in addition to the existing 270,000 m2 hall. Construction equipment manufacturers were also particularly prominent in exhibiting autonomous driving solutions, while a wide range of innovative technologies such as digital twin, AI and robotics were presented by exhibitors from around the world.

FORUM8 ran a solo booth in the "Gaming / Metaverse / XR" area in the Central Hall, under the theme "Sustainability achieved via Cloud -Japanese VRCG Software and Game Engine that can Realize Digital Twins and Metaverse-". The main exhibit was "F8VPS", the web VR platform that provides various 3D spaces as a metaverse, and as tools for this, we showcased "VR Design Studio UC-win/Road", 3D virtual reality software, "Shade3D", integrated 3DCG software, and "Suite Chidori Engine", the cross-platform game engine. The event was very successful, with many visitors every day from the opening until the last day.

During the exhibition, Mr Norio Ogiwara, President of Mamezou K2TOP Holdings Corporation, and his wife from Japan, visited the FORUM8 stand and experienced our solutions. We also received booth coverage from TV Tokyo BIZ and Virtual Communication Journal.

The FORUM8 stand attracted a lot of attention, especially for the Metaverse, which was
experienced by a large number of visitors on tours.

In the Metaverse Experience Corner with F8VPS, visitors logged into the same Metaverse space as avatars via six clients to chat, talk and videoconference with each other. The "Smart Device Linked Driving Simulator" was a UC-win/Road Driving Simulator linked to a watch-type heart rate sensor, allowing visitors to experience driving simulation while monitoring their heart rate in conjunction with driving scenarios. Other solutions included the "Air Driving Eye Tracking Device Linked System" which enabled air driving by eye movement, the "VR Motion Seat" for a roller coaster ride VR experience, the Automatic Steering VR Simulator with Torque Control equipped with force feedback, and other Metaverse and XR solutions.

The FORUM8's Metaverse system attracted a lot of attention from visitors from all over the world. We received many needs for the use of F8VPS and UC-win/Road in education and training, and some of them actually decided to implement the solution. There were also requests for the use of different simulator environments, such as a VR-based autonomous driving experimental system linked to ROS/ROS2, and AUTOSAR embedded services, and we proposed solutions to meet each of these requirements.

This year, despite the overall increase in the number of exhibitors, there were fewer Japanese companies exhibiting, and there seemed to be more exhibitors and customers from Asia, particularly from South Korea. Japanese start-ups also exhibited on the JETRO stand this year, and it is expected that more Japanese companies will actively participate next year, bringing more life to the venue. As for next year, FORUM8 plans to have a larger booth in the Metaverse/XR/Gaming area. We look forward to seeing you there.

The autonomous driving solution of a construction machine also attracted attention. JETRO booth with Japanese start-ups
